About us
From the first RAI outside broadcasts to today’s timing systems
Elettronica Mangione (El.man) grew out of Elman, founded on 19 November 1984 on the strength of the previous working experience of its founder: Attilio Mangione, one of the pioneers of television in Italy who, since 1953, was involved in the design and management of the first mobile units for television filming at RAI Radio Televisione Italiana.
Elman, an acronym for Elettronica Mangione, began its activity in its first office in Rome, via Adolfo Apolloni 19, making professional audiovisual equipment at the request of RAI. Later, thanks to the experience gained, it began to produce in small series particular apparatuses, difficult to find on the market, which gathered the favour of the major television broadcasters and of national and especially foreign TV production and post-production companies.
